About Mediator Berns

Bonnie A. Berns, a native New Yorker, graduated from New York University, where she achieved the honor of Phi Beta Kappa and received the Founder's Day Award for high scholastic achievement. Ms. Berns graduated from UDC David A. Clarke School of Law in Washington D.C. in June 1977.

In 1978, she started her own practice in Naples, Italy where she practiced until 1980. Then Ms. Berns moved to Florida, where she worked for a Daytona firm before opening her own practice in 1985 in Palm Coast, Florida. After only one year in Palm Coast, Ms. Berns' firm grew so rapidly that she added a partner and enjoyed this partnership law practice for eleven years.

She then moved to the Tampa Bay area and continued her practice until December 2006 at which time she moved back to Volusia County. After over 25 years of practice as an Attorney, Ms. Berns decided that the mediation process is the best way to resolve disputes.
